MARK KALMUS
Managing Director
Mark has been in the IT industry for over 30 years. He joined Southern Cross in February 1996 as National Manager - Sales, was appointed CEO in October 2003 and is now the Managing Director.
His current responsibilities include overall management of the company, the operation of the Enterprise Solutions, Software Solutions, Technology Services, Managed Services and Consulting Services specialised solution units, as well as the creation and implementation of the Southern Cross strategic plan.
His qualifications include Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Business. He is a Fellow of the CEO Institute, Member of the Australian Institute of Management and an Associate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. |

CHRIS PALMER
Director
Chris joined Southern Cross in May 2000 in the role of Senior Business Development Manager. He is now a Company Director.
Chris has over 16 years experience in the IT industry. His current responsibilities include management of all sales related activities, as well as the creation and implementation of the Southern Cross strategic plan.
Chris is a Director of Heartkids Victoria. Heartkids mission is to empower those affected by childhood heart disease through increased awareness, support and research. |

PETER BAIN
Chief Operating Officer
Peter joined Southern Cross in 1981 initially as a Programmer Analyst. Responsibilities developed to Finance Manager and Company Secretary, and now Peter is Chief Operating Officer. Peter is a member of The Australian Computer Society.

MIKE SAKALAS
General Manager
Commercial
Mike joined Southern Cross in the role of General Manager – Commercial in 2012. Mike is responsible for national sales and marketing operations and oversees alliance and strategic relationships. He will manage growth plans, with particular emphasis on our foray into new geographic and vertical growth markets.
Mike has over 16 years in the IT industry with stints at National TechTeam, EMC and most recently NetApp, where he was responsible for enterprise, government and commercial sales operations in the southern and western regions.

SIMON HEATH
General Manager
Service Delivery Group
Simon joined Southern Cross in 2013. As Service Delivery Group Manager, Simon manages a team of 70 staff and is responsible for the delivery of Southern Cross Technology and Managed Services. He has over 15 years experience in the IT industry, both in public and private sectors, with a diverse background covering ICT Operations Management, Project Governance, Organisational Change, Technical Architecture, Project Management, Strategy Development, Service Catalogue and Cost Modelling. Simon also holds a Bachelor in Economics and Masters in Business Administration. Most recently, Simon worked for the Victorian Government as Director of Project Delivery and Architecture. |

ASHUTOSH KAPSE
General Manager
Consulting Services
Ashu joined Southern Cross in 2005 as the General Manager of the Consulting Division.
Ashu has over 17 years experience in the IT industry, specialising in the fields of ICT Governance, IT Operations, IT Security, Strategic ICT Planning, Risk Management and Business Process Re-engineering.
His qualifications include MBA in IT Management and IRAP Certified Assessor. |

TUNG CHAU
General Manager
Software Solutions
Tung joined Southern Cross in January 2009 as General Manager Software Solutions and is responsible for managing and growing the Software Solutions practice.
Tung is a qualified in the discipline of software engineering with a proven track record in the management of IT professionals delivering a wide range of IT outsourcing. Tung has experience in program management, contract management, change control and consultancy services. Tung will grow the Software Services practice with his team who specialise in bespoke application development, implementation and consulting services based on the Microsoft platform.

Joel joined Southern Cross in May 2009. He has over 25 years in the IT industry, with 18 years experience managing technical, consulting, sales and administrative personnel.
In his role at Southern Cross Joel is involved in identifying and bringing to fruition strategic commercial initiatives for growth and profitability. |

ANDREW PAYNTER
National Sales ManagerAndrew joined Southern Cross in 2012 as National Sales Manager. He is responsible for the growth of Southern Cross business and customer relationships Australia-wide.
With over 12 years experience in the IT industry, Andrew has managed Victorian Government strategy for NetApp and DiData. Prior to that, he worked in senior ICT and emergency management roles for the Victorian Government.
