2008 IBM Beacon Award Winner

Southern Cross has been named winner of the award for “Innovation in Green IT Data Centre Solution” in the annual IBM Beacon Awards competition.  The award honours IBM Business Partners for their ingenuity, innovation, customer satisfaction and outstanding achievements in providing business solutions.

Preferred Supplier Victorian Govt eServices Panel

Southern Cross is proud to announce its endorsement as a preferred supplier on the new whole of Victorian Government ‘eServices’ panel contract that was issued by the Department of Treasury and Finance’s Government Services Group in July 2007. 

Southern Cross was successful in being nominated across all of the Services (8 different categories) for which it tendered and has employed a Senior Business Consultant to provide Agencies with a dedicated primary point of contact and support.  

 

Consolidation Project for Large Sporting Body

In 2007, this large sporting body realised it had aging hardware equipment, outdated applications and backup software and was running out of disk space to accommodate its business growth. Southern Cross was engaged to come up with a solution which included a server and SAN design, migration strategy and a detailed project plan.

The plan provided for server and storage consolidation, centralisation of its Citrix and Exchange applications and an upgrade to is backup solution. Southern Cross was engaged to provide a range of technology services  which included configuration, implementation and migration services.

The implementation has given this customer greater manageability, reliability, scalability and flexibility.

Southern Cross Software Solutions provides customers with consulting and application services and skills in Data Management – Data Warehousing – Development of Dashboards - Scorecards - Portals and Information Management and reporting solutions.
